I read a lot - not all of it related to agile or business management, but enough. Below are some of the important books that have shaped my thinking (and writing). Not all of them a great (as you can see from my ranking), but they all contain some interesting ideas. This group of reviews will focus on those books that relate to agile marketing.

Death of a Marketer: Modern Marketing's Troubled Past and a New Approach to Change the Future
Author: Andrea Fryrear
For marketing organisations, Andrea's book is mandatory. I'm always a fan of history, so appreciate that she starts with an historical overview on marketing to provide context for the rest of the book. She clearly outlines (with evidence) the case for change; for marketing organisations to being to adopt agile ways of working. And finally, practical advice on different methods and how to make it happen.

Author: Scott Brinker
From the back of the book: "In many ways, modern marketing has more in common with the software profession than it does with classic marketing management. As surprising as that may sound, it’s the natural result of the world going digital. Marketing must move faster, adapt more quickly to market feedback, and manage an increasingly complex set of customer experience touchpoints. All of these challenges are shaped by the dynamics of software—from the growing number of technologies in our own organizations to the global forces of the Internet at large."
